Tuition and Financial Aid (2026-2027 Academic Year)

The Opus 1 Chamber Music School and Opus 1 Preparatory Program work in tandem. Students may participate in Opus 1 Chamber Music, Opus 1 Prep, or both without schedule conflicts. Opus 1 is happy to extend a tuition discount to students who are accepted into both Opus 1 Chamber Music and Opus 1 Prep.

Payment Plan

Opus 1 offers monthly tuition payment plans. This gives families the opportunity to spread out their tuition payment over the full academic year. Further information will be provided when issued your tuition invoice.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Opus 1 offers tuition refunds in instances of medical and family emergency, or acts of God. In the event that a student cannot be placed into a chamber group for a trimester, Opus 1 will refund the student 1/3 chamber music tuition.

Financial Aid

Opus 1’s mission is to make music education accessible to all. Opus 1 offers financial aid awards based on each student’s level of financial need. Support may range from partial to full tuition coverage. Every application is evaluated thoroughly and without bias.

Accepted applicants who express interest in financial aid when submitting their application will be able to complete an online financial aid form during the enrollment process. All applicants must provide complete and accurate details about their financial situation, including tax returns and, when applicable, notarized income documentation from abroad.

All students, whether or not they receive financial aid, are expected to uphold Opus 1’s Code of Conduct, and behave professionally and respectfully at all times. Failure to do so will result in rescinded financial aid awards and possibly acceptance in all Opus 1 programs.
